Pul Kanjari
Pul Kanjari is another unexplored historical heritage of Amritsar. It was built by the undefeated emperor of Punjab- Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
The place entails a story of beautiful dancer Moran who used to entertain the king by her dance, but to rich, the king’s court, Moran, the dancer, had to cross a river.
Once while crossing the river, her shoe fell in it. Moran got furious about it and refused to perform until a bridge was built to cross the river flowing.
Because the king Maharaja Ranjit Singh was too fond of the dancer, he built the bridge for her.
In those times, dancing wasn’t a much-regarded profession, especially for women. That’s why they were known as “Kanjari’s.”
So now you know why the place has a weird name.
Gobindgarh Fort
Gobindgarh Fort is a historical treat that dates back to 1720. It was also built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The world-famous jewel, the diamond Kohinoor, was also once placed inside the high walls of the fort.

Jallianwala Bagh

Mata Lal Devi Temple
Mata Lal Devi temple located in the model town Amritsar. It is a multi-story temple that is no less than an adventure maze. Colorful paintings, glass frescos, and replicas of holy caves make it an exciting tourist destination.
The prime attraction spot of the temple is Vaishno Devi Gufa (Cave). This watery cave is the exact replica of the original shrine. It is believed that one who cannot visit the actual shrine, should visit here at least once in a lifetime.
